Get Your Blog on Google’s First Page – 4 Simple Techniques

Add to Technorati Favorites

Getting your blog into Google’s top 10 results can leverage your business and increase your traffic greatly. Whatever the purpose for your blog, getting ad clicks, selling affiliate products, or generating traffic to your sales page, a blog owner's ultimate goal is to brand himself while making a profit—easier said than done.

The good news is that getting into Google's top spots can be accomplished with a little creativity and effort. The following are five ways you can get your blog onto Google’s first page and watch your traffic surge.

Write Original Content

Original, informative, and authentic content rules in the Web 2.0 marketing world. While you don't have to post everyday, you need to post a minimum of three times a week. Personal studies have shown that traffic tends to drop off considerably if posting occurs less than three times a week. You also have to maintain a steady flow of content for the search engines. A steady flow of content shows that you're interested enough in your topic to keep it alive.

The Web is moving towards authentic, two-way based conversations. Add humor to your posts. Give your content a twist and personality. One of the best ways to make your content come alive is to include a few real-life scenarios. Your readers will appreciate your honesty.

This brings up a good point about content which is "SEOed". If you're writing about a topic you enjoy, you're adding a dash of your personality, and you're not concerned about keyword density, then you're doing it correctly. So, what does that mean? Be normal. If you're thinking about keyword density while you're writing, you're going to sound like Frankenstein.

So, I'm busting the keyword density myth. Write like a human and you'll be rewarded.

Use RSS to Market Your Business

Add to Technorati Favorites

Web 2.0 has opened up a number of interesting new options for internet marketers, especially in the area of content syndication.

RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is a web content syndication format that allows you to publish and distribute a variety of content across the web.

You may have noticed RSS buttons on many websites. A user simply clicks on an RSS button and has content and updates from the website delivered directly to their desktop. Of course, your content has to be interesting enough to warrant a click.

If you have a product or service you want to promote on the internet, RSS can be an invaluable marketing tool. If you can produce good quality content you can keep customers coming back to your website for news, updates, and special offers.

One of the main reasons that RSS is popular among consumers is that they can receive your news while remaining anonymous. Many users that would be reluctant to subscribe to an e-zine are happy to subscribe to RSS feeds.

Key Elements of Web 2.0

Add to Technorati Favorites

The three key elements of Web 2.0 are the re-invention of the Web, its social and collaborative nature, and the read and write characteristics of Web 2.0

Re-invention of the Web

Using the web as a platform, Web 2.0 re-visualizes the internet from the perspectives of the developer, the supplier and the user, giving each of them innovative ways to use the internet. Web 2.0 takes the huge spectrum of interconnected devices of the web and provides a comprehensible and accessible programming model for the developer, a flexible and rapid deployment apparatus for the supplier and a powerful, all-absorbing experience for the user.

Continuously increasing bandwidth means the richness of content that can be sent over the internet is continuously increasing. Starting with images and music and moving to video and voice, Web 2.0 has dramatically changed the old internet of text and one way communication.

Using Digg to Market Your Website

Add to Technorati Favorites
As more and more people embrace Web 2.0 technology to develop and market their products and services, Digg has emerged as a popular option for news and content distribution.

However, this method has already been embraced by a number of web marketers so more creativity is required to overcome spam objections. Nonetheless, if you can come up with good content that people like enough to 'Digg' you could find your story making the Digg homepage and bringing potentially thousands of visitors to your website.

While there are many tips and tricks that can be exercised for getting content on Digg, the most important, and obvious, point is to produce good, quality content. Articles that offer advice and how-to information have a better chance of getting voted on. But, this is where your creativity must shine. Most people are already familiar with marketers vying for attention. So, you have to be unique, making yourself distinctly "dissimilar".

As with any content piece online, your headline is the most fundamental attention grabber you have to work with. Through testing, I've discovered that asking a question in your headline, if intriguing enough, can give you good exposure. The important factor to remember is that you have to deliver on your question. Readers assume that you will answer the question in your article and quick.

Using Squidoo to Market Yourself

If you are looking for ways to increase your Website's exposure, you should definitely explore the marketing possibilities Squidoo has to offer.

Squidoo is one of the increasingly popular Web 2.0 websites that are offering new and exciting marketing opportunities for individuals and companies. Others include YouTube, MySpace, FaceBook, Digg and Flickr.

Squidoo is made up of single web pages known as "lenses" which are simply user generated pages. They allow the page owners' to voice their opinion, provide information, or recommend products they like.

Collaborative Internet Opens up New Marketing Possibilities

Add to Technorati Favorites

Have you taken the time to think about all of the marketing possibilities that are now presenting themselves to all of us as internet marketers and business people using online social networks? The imagination boggles at the endless ways to engage this new medium of marketing opportunity. In my opinion, having direct contact with and the ability to interact with your target audiences is a powerful asset for anyone using the internet to market their goods and services. Just think how much more powerful it is to know your customers needs and desires as you are marketing to them and have the ability to shift marketing messages on the fly to accommodate their wishes. AMAZING!!!

In recent years, the internet has evolved from something that users simply read, to a collaborative environment where users can actively shape web content and drive trends.

This new online environment generally comes under the term Web 2.0, although an exact definition of the term has never quite been agreed upon.

The new collaborative web means that everyone can now create their own web content through social networking websites and media sharing sites such as YouTube and Flickr. This new technology also means that content isn’t just limited to writing. Video, audio, and animations are all widely used in the collaborative internet.

While the most popular collaborative websites are user driven, online marketers are increasingly finding ways to increase exposure to their products in the Web 2.0 environment.

What Social Networking Can do for You

Add to Technorati Favorites
Online social networking offers internet users a means of connecting and sharing information with other individuals and groups who share common interests and goals.

Although more popularly known as socializing forums, social networking sites also play a vital role in helping online as well as off line organizations achieve their business goals. Social networking platforms offer businesses a forum for reaching out to potential customers beyond the immediate community.

Social networking sites, especially 'friend-of-a-friend' (FOAF) social networking sites such as MySpace and Friendster, are especially designed to directly connect like minded individuals and groups. Members interact with each other using many innovative tools including discussion forums and private or public messages.

An FOAF network typically displays directories featuring people or topics that all members can browse through. Whenever you find another member with similar interests, you can send the member a message requesting to be added to their list of contacts. This gives you the opportunity to meet other like minded users from that member's network, thereby multiplying your organization’s contacts faster than you could in the real world. With every extra person you add, your network has the potential to expand exponentially.

Top Tips for Marketing your Business on MySpace

Add to Technorati Favorites

With a user base in the hundreds of millions, MySpace offers a great opportunity to market your website.

However, because of the demographics of its users (mostly teenagers) and its social nature, it is not suitable for all businesses. For example, if you are selling life insurance you are probably not likely to meet with much success on MySpace.

Although there have been some amazing success stories, there is no tried and tested formula for successful marketing on MySpace. However, some of the world’s biggest companies are doing it so there is no reason why you shouldn’t too.

MySpace offers a lot of flexibility as regards the appearance of your profile. Try to build your page to reflect the look and feel of your website. Try to make it as fresh as possible and make full use of audio, video and images to capture the interest of fellow MySpace users. If you stumble across something that people like, you can watch your page's popularity increase dramatically in a short period of time.

Use Wikipedia to Market your Website

Add to Technorati Favorites
Without a doubt, one of the biggest Web 2.0 success stories of recent years is Wikipedia. Since it was established in 2001, it has grown into the largest reference website in the world—by far.

At last count, Wikipedia boasted 5,300,000 articles in more than 100 languages. It has about 75,000 contributors but the beauty of this, and any other Wiki, is that anybody can create their own content, including you.

Publishing a page about your business on Wikipedia can be a great way to market your website. If you are a regular web user you will have noticed that keyword searches regularly bring up Wikipedia pages in the top ten of the search engine rankings.

However, any content you submit to Wikipedia will have to be interesting and relevant. While content can be created by anyone, it is thoroughly checked and anything that looks like advertising will be rejected. Write about your business as objectively as possible and as if you are writing about it solely with the purpose of providing information.

7 Rules for Social Networking Marketing Effectiveness

Add to Technorati Favorites
With any marketing medium there comes a set of standards or rules to be effective and received well. No matter how much we dislike following the rule the social network marketing medium is one place you do not want to step carelessly. If you think about this logically then you would realize that the old adage first impressions last forever really is true. Have you ever met someone and immediately been turned off about the message they were communicating. It could be for any number of reasons but the fact remained the same. They repelled you at hello. So keep this concept in mind when engaging the social network medium so as to avoid the pitfalls that go along with bad first impressions.

Social networking is rapidly becoming the most preferred Web 2.0 marketing tool. If you are engaged in selling your products or services online, there is plenty you can do with social networking sites to promote your business.

However, the possibilities are accompanied by inevitable pitfalls. Here are a few things to keep in mind in order to raise your effectiveness when using social networking sites.

Rule #1 - One site or many: While many organizations prefer to maintain their presence on several social networking sites, it can take up considerable amount of time as well as staff resources. Determine the amount of time you can spend updating your profile on each site. It's far more effective to spend extra time and energy maintaining a high profile on one, well-chosen site rather than spend precious hours juggling different operating platforms on too many different sites.

If you do choose to maintain a presence on multiple sites, make sure you assign a full-time staff to regulate your various profiles. This could include posting comments on other member’s pages, inviting other people to become friends, or accepting other friend’s requests. In the absence of regular care, your web page is sure to languish.

5 Reasons Why Social Marketing is a Must

Add to Technorati Favorites
Social marketing is here to stay. Thank you web 2.0 developers! I am so excited because this medium is making it easier and easier to market products and services online like never before. The social marketing medium gives the marketer the chance to interact with and co develop their marketing campaigns with the actual target audiences. This is a powerful tool! Imagine being able to dynamically tweak your marketing message based upon real consumer feedback. Well if you can imagine it you can make it happen. There is no stopping the potential of this medium and its impact on the internet marketing world.

In a Web 2.0 world, social marketing leverages your business with audio, video, and text. As an example, blogging may very well turn out to be one of the most ingenuous marketing strategies for anyone who has an online business and is willing to commit to its process.

Web 2.0 seems such an unlikely stratagem that many online marketers are still wary of using as a marketing tactic, much to their disadvantage. Statistics show that marketers who have embraced and adopted social marketing have experienced unprecedented success. Here are three reasons why social marketing is important for your online business.

#1 Social marketing gets you the information you need

Social marketing is a popular and effective way of getting vital information that is essential to the success of your business. Social networking directories such as Netscape and Digg are increasingly gaining favor as an option for people across the globe to keep in touch with the latest happenings in their area of interest. Want to measure your content's effectiveness? Try posting it to a Netscape or Digg like service. Blogging and submitting to pertinent social directories is an effective way of attracting and retaining important traffic.

Top Podcast Marketing Tips

Add to Technorati Favorites

Have you ever wanted to hear yourself on the radio? Have you ever recorded your thoughts while driving? Well guess what? You can take those gems of knowledge and actually distribute them across the WWW in little or no time. The best part of this is that you will drive traffic to your website and you will build trust with your target audience. Have you ever met someone that you were apprehensive about? The minute they started speaking to you the set you at ease? The same rules apply to podcasting and audio on the web. Linking a voice with a picture goes a long way towards building trust with your consumer base and attracts highly qualified leads to your web site.

The continued development of Web 2.0 technology has produced new and exciting ways to market your products and services. The ability to broadcast audio and video online has emerged as a beneficial means to get the word out about your business. In particular, I address how podcasting can help you sell more products while helping you connect with your customers.

Essentially, podcast marketing is the art of publishing audio programs on the internet with the intention of raising product awareness, establishing a brand, and, of course, increasing sales.

There are many advantages to podcasts. Namely, most people have a computer or other MP3 compatible device. Since people are spending more time at the computer, rather that in front of the TV, it's easy to hit them right where they sit.

Thanks to cheap digital recording equipment and software, you can record, distribute, and test your podcasting activities—too expensive and cumbersome only a few years ago.

One helpful tip is to listen to several other marketing podcasts to get a feel for the medium and to help you brainstorm ideas of your own. It's especially important to listen to podcasts from marketers in different industries. It's even more important to find someone who has been podcasting consistently. By the tone of their message, you will get a good idea about what messages work in an audio format.

Selling Yourself in Video

Add to Technorati Favorites
This article helps everyday business people to market themselves on video without the stress that video usually brings to people. Understanding that selling yourself on video is just like selling yourself in person is one of the most important lessons to learn. Taking time to understand the medium and embracing its potential is vital to anyone trying to effectively market services or products on the internet. There is no way around it. Video is here to stay and selling yourself on video is just another tool you can use to leverage your web 2.0 marketing campaigns.

With the arrival of Web 2.0, the art of marketing yourself and your product on the internet is changing. While SEO, link building and article submissions remain important marketing techniques, now is the time to look at more innovative and sophisticated ways of getting your message across.

One of the most successful ventures of the Web 2.0 revolution is YouTube. It's an amazing "rags to riches" story that you can capitalize on with little investment. In fact, making a video can be done for next to nothing. Both Mac OSX and Windows ship with video editing software. Throw in a digital camera and you are ready to make your own videos.

If you don't have a video camera, you can also you desktop software to record images on screen. Instead of letting others see you talk about your product or service, you can simply show them on your desktop.

What kind of video material you choose to produce is entirely up to you, but ideally it should be relevant to your product. If it genuinely has something to offer viewers and can generate interest it could significantly increase traffic to your website.

Web 2.0 - Promotion Methods that get Results

Add to Technorati Favorites
This article stresses the promotions aspect of this marketing medium. It takes time to explore how the small business can best leverage the marketing medium. The focus of this article is for the start up small business user and emphasizes a common sense approach to marketing products and services in the Web 2.0 medium.

Anybody promoting or marketing products online knows that converting web site traffic is the key to survival and profits. However, for startup businesses, this is easier said than done. How do you target nameless, faceless customers and get them to visit your website—one of hundreds of thousands that overwhelm the internet? More importantly, how do you know what this invisible customer wants?

Web 2.0 advertising and marketing offer entrepreneurs an effective means of attracting more visitors to their site and interacting with potential customers. It allows startup businesses to advertise their existence and promote their products to prospective clients who do not yet know the business even exists. There are several Web 2.0 promotion methods, which if used simultaneously, can bring surprising results.

Web 2.0 Advertising – Crucial in a Word of Mouth World

Add to Technorati Favorites
The opportunities that are available to Web 2.0 Marketers in this current market place are endless and very content rich. The everyday business person that effectively leverages their time and energy while purposefully providing good quality content to their potential clients will reap the reward of the social aspects of this medium. For a small investment of time and diligence a person can garner hundreds of new results for their websites and have a better chance of keyword searches leading to their front door.

Word-of-mouth is the crucial component of Web 2.0 advertising. Unlike conventional advertising, which was solely one way and largely interruptive, Web 2.0 advertising actually welcomes control by users and invites users to create and share their own messages. In that sense, Web 2.0 advertising is revolutionary.

However, the technology and the advertising tools being used are familiar and have been in use by people for a long time. Web 2.0 advertising can more accurately be described as a radical concept involving the innovative implementation of currently available tools.

This seemingly mild shift has opened up endless opportunities for consumers and marketers alike. Consumers play a role in the marketing conversation by creating reviews, adding entries to blogs and sharing photos. Every time a consumer makes a contribution to this conversation it shifts the balance of power back to the consumer. Marketers are aware of it and embrace this participation, improving the conversation even more.

Working in collaboration, consumers and marketers are moving from "interruptive advertising" to "invited advertising" thus making Web 2.0 advertising participative, mixed and scalable.

Web 2.0 – Advertising Advantages

Add to Technorati Favorites
This article was written with the traditional word of mouth marketers in mind. When we think of internet marketing we sometimes disassociate the real world concepts behind marketing because we visualize the internet marketing space as a nameless void or faceless mass of people waiting to see our information. This is just not true and it will ultimately lead to online marketing campaign demise. The same approaches you take to everyday leg work with local clients must also be in the back of your mind when you approach your online marketing audience as well.

Word-of-mouth advertising is the defining element of Web 2.0 advertising. It’s all about making new connections and expanding your internet presence via social networking.

Web 2.0 advertising through social networking gives you the much needed proximity to your clients, increases the frequency of social contact and changes the dynamics between you and your customers. It creates structured internet communities and puts like minded people in touch with others, where once it was impossible. Social networking, which is viral in nature, keeps the community growing and extends your reach indefinitely.

Social networking sites not only help people interact with each other but also allow them to share likes and dislikes, music and photos as well as video and TV clips. This provides businesses with a perfect platform to advertise and promote their products or services.

You can get a better feel for the market by getting to know more about your target audience including the kind of products or services they prefer. This in itself can save you loads of time, effort and money spent advertising to the wrong target audience.

What can Web 2.0 Marketing do for You?

Add to Technorati Favorites

Ever since the term web 2.0 hit the mainstream media and opinions began to form on how best to use the new medium to target market products and services businesses everywhere have been trying to get their arm around exactly what this technology can do for them. Most are confused and even more are down right frustrated at all the potential with little proof of performance. I wrote this article to help people see the possibilities and also to help whittle down the overwhelming amount of information about how, where and why to post your promotional information on web 2.0 enabled sites.

The advent of Web 2.0 has transformed the online marketing landscape dramatically. Small and medium-sized businesses can now compete on a level playing field with industry giants like Unilever or websites such as MySpace.

With Web 2.0 you can market your products on social networking sites and blogs at very little cost, while the new technology also allows you to monitor customer trends and measure results.

One of the oldest and most traditional methods of Web 2.0 marketing is targeted advertising on search engines. With this method you can have your ad listed on the search results page or appear within an article on a subject related to your product. These are generally paid for per click, but you can be guaranteed each click will bring a new visit to your site.

A much more recent phenomenon is the use of social networking websites to market products. This method is used by everyone from one man operations to multi-national corporations. A page on MySpace or FaceBook can boost the popularity of your product, but be sure to keep the content fresh and updated. Also, you will generally have a young audience here so the content should reflect this.

Web 2.0 – A Low Cost Marketing Windfall for Businesses

Add to Technorati Favorites
All small businesses have one thing in common. They need to save money. Whether it is on daily supplies, wages or advertising, this fact remains the same. In this article I talk about the ways that small businesses can really take advantage of the web 2.0 marketing space. The best part of using this medium is that most of the really good resources out there to market your goods and services are free to sign up for and easy to use. The main cost realization to the small business from using the medium is in the time and dedication to their web 2.0 marketing campaigns as they do take some time to forment. The results can be extremely welcome to the small business person as they see their market share increase many fold over time globally.

The principal advantage of Web 2.0 is that it allows businesses to collect user information and then turn around and augment their offerings as an offshoot of ordinary application use.

The idea behind these Web 2.0 marketing and communication tools is to revamp a static web site into a continuously evolving experience, where customers are better connected with video, audio and photos as well as community generated content. As technology becomes increasingly more networked and interrelated, the possibility of a personalized media that is always on and always connected is rapidly becoming a reality.

This is a real advantage for online marketers who now have easy access to a multitude of new technologies that enable them to reach clients and customers virtually anywhere around the world.

The New Marketing Rules for Web 2.0

Add to Technorati Favorites
Whenver a new medium is established for marketing a free-for-all ensues with tons of new ideas and ways to leverage the medium. Some of those ideas are good and have staying power. Others are short sighted and end up labeled as spam. Unfortunatley some good ideas get labeled as spam as well so if this happens to you just suck it up and grow a pair while you let the flames roll of your back. This article was my attempt to show the internet marketer that the free-for-all period was over and that a new set of standards has come into play regarding the Web 2.0 marketing world. Enjoy the article and coment on new rules and standards you see taking shape as well.

Web 2.0 and the varied technologies that accompany it offer businesses as well as customers opportunities to reach out to each other in ways that were never before possible. It has, in effect, turned the old marketing establishment on its head and created a new world that is characterized by horizontal innovation, absolute transparency and freedom of expression.

The internet is changing at an amazing speed. Understanding and embracing the new rules for Web 2.0 is imperative for any online business to survive and thrive in the next century.

The following 5 rules will help you grasp the Web 2.0 marketing phenomenon.

Rule #1- Maneuver community participation

Connecting with others who share a common interest and interacting with them develops long lasting bonds, not to mention loyalty. Studies show that attempting to directly influence customers has less impact than providing them the necessary support to interact with each other through activities on their brand community. This, in turn, could drastically increase their level of loyalty and commitment.

Marketers need to use this principle as the basis for their online communities. Customers who are already loyal to the brand’s products or services will automatically be drawn to the brand’s online community and participate in group activities.

This increases their likelihood of remaining attached to the community longer, buying more often and also recommending it to non-members.

This article stresses the importance of Web 2.0 to all marketers and shows how web 2.0 can really lend some real credibility and power to your next campaign. The article is also very informative regarding the technologies that Web 2.0 compromise and just how rapidly this medium is growing into a marketers next sure bet. When you read this article keep in mind the way Web 2.0 is redefining the marketplaces of today and how the collaborative elements of Web 2.0 can really boost your brand to new heights

Although Web 2.0 has been publicized as the "next big thing", interestingly enough, it lacks a crisp definition. Web 2.0 refers more to the changes in the way the web is used as a platform by end users and software developers rather than an actual web technical specification update. In an increasingly mixed future, Web 2.0 represents just one phenomenon that is hard to define but is nonetheless here to stay.

With rapidly growing internet usage and an increasing number of web technologies being made available for and by businesses as well as individuals, the internet has become an important marketing platform. With the shift from limited bottlenecked distribution to infinite open distribution, Web2.0 is increasingly becoming a critical component of the infrastructure and strategy of every successful business establishment today.

Web 2.0 redefines the market and generates entirely new opportunities, making it important for marketers to have a better understanding of the way the web can be utilized and integrated with other marketing strategies.

Web 2.0 is Vital to Internet Marketers

Add to Technorati Favorites
Most Internet marketers specialize in using one web medium or another. With Web 2.0 technologies there is no need to compartmentalize your marketing campaigns to one medium. in fact, with Web 2.0's social nature different types of content actually are created by the user on the fly. For most products and services marketed by Internet marketers this can be a god send. For others it can be their death sentence. This article deals with the Web 2.0 reality for Internet marketers and I would think that it would be important for most anybody marketing other people's good and services or their own.

Contrary to popular belief, Web 2.0 does not signify a replacement to its 1.0 predecessor. The term Web 2.0 implies the web has changed but not in its entirety. With an immense number of web pages and millions of website owners, the web will more than likely always be a merging of the new and old.

Web 2.0 brings a new definition to the term web usability and the innovative technologies that drive it. Web 2.0 is more of a concept rather than a version and is more closely defined by dynamic web pages that encourage user interaction.

Unlike its Web 1.0 forerunner, where the primary option available to users was reading static web pages, Web 2.0 has been compared to readers helping write a book instead of being restricted to only reading it.

Web 2.0 is characterized by blogs, wikis (brought about by the success of Wikipedia), social networking sites such as MySpace, and RSS feeds, where organizations offer a variety of delivery and targeted news options. These seemingly innocuous technologies are expected to sway the enterprise for completely unexpectedly reasons.

In this article and video I was hoping to help small businesses realize the opportunity that has been afforded them by Web 2.0 technologies to market their businesses in a holistically personal and more efficient way. Most small business owners get stuck in the quagmire of more money = more media = more clients. This is always true in traditional mediums like print collateral, television and radio but it is not the case with the Internet leveraging Web 2.0 Technologies.

Though still in its infancy, Web 2.0 has completely altered the way businesses market online. It puts business collaboration not only in the hands of managers and employees, but also customers and potential customers, decentralizing the chain-of-command into more of a spider-web effect.

Entrepreneurs looking for innovative ways to launch their businesses benefit greatly from this feature of Web 2.0. It gives them the competitive edge against larger corporations that are run in an inflexible top down manner.

An early 2007 poll revealed that several established companies believed Web 2.0 was over-hyped and were convinced it would have no impact on their business or any other start-up business. Traditional thinking industry leaders found it difficult to believe that blogs and social networking could have world wide consequences on any level—start-up or otherwise. A few months later, Web 2.0 marketing has sky-rocketed, proving them wrong and leaving them scrambling to strategize and integrate this once innocuous marketing structure into their existing models.

Web 2.0 – Its Significance for the Retail Marketer

Add to Technorati Favorites
This article and video are mainly about the way new Web 2.0 technologies have become common place in the retail market as a necessary and viable marketing tool for the future. I wanted to communicate to those groups concentrating their efforts in traditional media outlets to consider the potential of the Internet marketplace using Web 2.0 technologies to increase their exposure and market share. I have included a snippet of this article below and a link to the article on my corporate website.

Though relatively new, Web 2.0 has taken the world by storm. Familiar old technologies such as Flash and newer technologies such as AJAX and RSS feeds offer ground breaking new ways for retailers and consumers to connect with each other and communicate. These features are changing the face of online marketing.

The distinct characteristic of Web 2.0 marketing is that it is spearheaded by innovative means for keeping open the channels of communication between marketers and buyers. As the choice of communication channels increase, retailers are forced to think more about revamping their traditional online marketing campaigns. Blogs, social networking sites and RSS feeds are the three main areas of Web 2.0 that have the strongest impact on retailers.

iMedia and the Web 2.0 Revolution

Add to Technorati Favorites

I recently wrote an article and recorded some video on the iMedia and Web 2.0 Revolution. My thoughts behind this set of information was to help people and businesses to see the potential of this grand movement and give a basic understanding to how this new web platform can help leverage their time and resources though more effective Internet marketing campaigns.

No matter how good a product or service may be, it's the first impression that counts. Though much has changed in the way businesses advertise and market their products or services, the one thing that has remained constant over the years is the value of first impressions. However, business marketing has, in recent times, outgrown traditional print and television mediums and is now entering newer realms. From interactive audio-visual presentations to web sites using a vast assortment of electronic tools, businesses are creatively engaging consumers.

Entrepreneurs and advertisers who have long known that image is everything are now using the latest in technology to put that theory to good use. iMedia is a valuable tool that enables specialization and entry into the fast moving and dynamic world of creative interactive media.

It helps graphic designers respond quickly to growth, innovation and change. iMedia is a benefit to anybody who is passionate about creative media whether they possess artistic skills or not.

Recent Entrepreneurship Activities

I bet some of you have been wondering where I have been and why my personal blog has not been update since May of 2007. Well it is a long story but I will try to make it a quick one.

Starting this summer I had huge news that sent me into a totally new groove as far as business went. I sold LinkAcquire. That's right, I sold it. Lock stock and barrel. The best part is that a really great guy named Jerret Turner bought the company and has made it better looking, more efficient and a greater value to its customers. Jerret has totally revamped the way things are done along with how he serves the customers at LinkAcquire.I must say, I wish I would have thought of that!

I use Jerret all the time to do copy writing for me. He does an awesome job.n I would recommend him to the most discriminating clients. Take a minute to look him over at http://www.linkacquire.com/

Now back to the story...

Then my long time friend and colleague Frank Klein retired from his long career in education and educational technology. Frank is so skilled and knowledgeable besides being an exceptional person. I wish all of you could know him. He is one of the best friends and business partners a person could have.

The day after Frank retired he showed up on my doorstep with contracts in hand and reminded me of a discussion we had six years ago regarding going into business together. I still chuckle bout that with other friends and colleagues to this day. It is rare that a person of Frank's caliber and talent can be made available to the marketplace. It is also rare to meet someone as true to their word as Frank is.

frank made it possible for Relativity to offer very high end technological consulting and management based services to large entities like school districts, education cooperatives, cities, counties and state entities. Take a look at the new service set available to our customer base now here; TechGAP

Onwards...

So with all of those things going on I knew that my core business Relativity would have to be repackaged and presented in a fashion that allowed the talents of Frank, myself and the rest of the new team shine. (more on the new team in a minute) Frank and I spent three months planning, organizing and revamping Relativity and its branding.

I must say it turned out better than I could have hoped. You see during the same time as all the corporate restructuring was going on, I met two very talented women. Barbara Jabaily and MJ Mauro. Barbara is our video extraordinaire and MJ is our copy writing/editing expert. It has been three months since the team got together and we are rocking the search marketing world.

You see I had an epiphany before I sold LinkAcquire. I saw all of the new Web 2.0 Marketing venues that had opened up to the everyday business person and I set about formulating a way to tie the older Web 1.0 text based content to the new Web 2.0 multimedia based content. I came up with a winner and we have been rocking the search engines ever since.

Now we can bring that set of services to the general public in a very big way. Take a look at the service set offered in this newly evolved marketing vision: Web 2.0 Marketing

In conclusion, I have ton of other things to tell you about over the next several years. This blog will be updated daily from now on so check back often.
