Yeah right!
I have to take care of the kids, answer emails, write new emails, post links, contact affiliates, make sure billing is done for the month, recruit new customers, follow up with staff and sub-contractors, and clean up the home office.
I just cannot take time to relax right now thanks......
Does this sound familiar? Well it's not just you. This type of situation afflicts every internet professional out there at sometime or another. Especially when you are first getting started or when you are strapped for cash.
It always seems like if you work harder and longer that you will be able to somehow extract success from lost hours of toiling and struggling behind the keyboard.
But....
Not really. What you are really doing by slamming and cramming your day chock full of worry and heart ache is setting your self up for ultimate failure. That's right failure with a capital "F." While you are pounding away at the keyboard telling everyone you do not have time to get things done outside of your set schedule, you are loosing out on opportunity.
Opportunity?
Yes your missing an opportunity to....
- Spend time with your family
- Spend time with your friends
- Re-energize your body and mind
- Re-focus your intention
- Re-connect with your spirit
- Make new contacts
- Explore new relationships
- Create new opportunity
- Formulate new ideas
Now I know what you might be thinking.... If I don't get all of the things on my list done I am going to fail! I know... I used to feel the same way. It is just your ego talking, and if you listen...
You will fail.
Why?
Because you lost opportunity. Ask yourself this question. Is completing all the tasks on your list really as important as the missed opportunities that I listed above? One of the major reasons why people ultimately fail on the internet is due to self isolation. They work hard and long at making themselves bitter and upset about not succeeding.
People burn out due to lack of interaction with other people, overworking themselves, realtionship issues, and personal bashing. There confidence and health fails and ultimately that inner light that once shone so brightly dims and can even be exstinguished if you forget what is really important.
The good news is that you do not have to make the same mistakes I have in the past and 90% of all internet professionals do everyday. Reflect on how you spend your time. Then....
REALX!!!
