Many of my clients overlook the need for a blog. A blog can go a lng way to helping you establish trust with others in remote locations. Think of your website like it is the front door of your business. Think of your blog as the story that goes along with all of the contents and people inside the building. A blog is really your chance to tell your story over and over again to a willing listener. It is also an opportunity to form relationships and bond with your consumer base.
The Web 2.0 revolution has presented a number of new ways to market your products and services—few more effective than the simple blog.
Basically, a blog is an online journal that is updated regularly. A blog can be on any subject, and, since they are cheap to set up and run, it is not surprising that the net is cluttered with them. Setting up a blog is easy. Breaking through the mess of blogs already in existence is harder.
If you already have a business, you should certainly consider setting up a blog that is affiliated with your existing website.
You can write about your products, related industry news, voice opinions and even post video, audio and images. However, be sure that your blog isn’t just a glorified ad. Make sure your content is relevant, interesting and well written. If you can attract visitors who are genuinely interested in what you have to say, your blog marketing experiment will be successful.
